Journal of Gastroenterology and Digestive System

Aims and Scope – Gastroenterology and Digestive System

The Journal of Gastroenterology and Digestive System welcomes research of transdisciplinary interest focused on gastroenterology and digestive health for publication. It further invites submissions of works related to diverse disciplines ranging from the very basic to clinical specialty, including gastrointestinal microbiome, molecular mechanisms of gastrointestinal diseases, digestive immunology and system, clinical gastroenterology, hepatology, pancreaticobiliary disorders, gastrointestinal oncology, innovative surgery, endoscopy, nutrition, and pediatric gastroenterology, all of which demand such interventions as laboratory work, innovative methodologies, and consideration of interdisciplinary approaches with importance to the clinical settings.

In basic and translational research, subjects from different domains include gut microbiome composition, molecular mechanisms of gastrointestinal diseases, and digestive system immunology. Clinical gastroenterology includes research on inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's and ulcerative colitis, functional disorders like IBS, disorders of the esophagus, GERD, and gut-brain interactions. Under hepatology and pancreaticobiliary disease, research investigates liver diseases, transplantation, and pancreatitis, with a focus on expanding treatment options.

GI cancers are paramount and early detection, prevention, AI-based diagnostic tools, novel surgical approaches, and immunotherapy are important insights under the journal. Other innovations emphasized are minimally invasive surgeries, advancements in endoscopy, nutritional interventions, among others, including dietary management and pediatric health concerning digestion.

The Journal of Gastroenterology and Digestive System is dedicated to advancing transformative discoveries and developments in digestive health care through interdisciplinary collaboration with scientific excellence and clinical relevance.
