Full Distinguished Professor of Chemistry | Enrico Fermi Distinguished Chair in Molecular Spectroscopy | Head of Cancer California South University (CSU), United States
Biography:
Prof. Dr. Alireza Heidari is a globally recognized chemist and Full Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at California South University (CSU), where he also holds the Enrico Fermi Distinguished Chair in Molecular Spectroscopy. He earned both his Ph.D. and D.Sc. in Chemistry from CSU and has completed two postdoctoral fellowships—one in oncology and synchrotron radiation at Monash University (Australia) and another in nanochemistry and molecular electronic-structure theory at CSU.
His multidisciplinary research spans biophysical chemistry, quantum and theoretical chemistry, nanochemistry, oncology, pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, biosensors, and AI-driven drug design. He is particularly known for his work on anti-cancer nano-drugs, vibrational spectroscopy, and DNA/RNA methylation in cancer diagnostics.
Prof. Heidari has participated in over 900 international conferences and scientific events and has visited academic and research institutions in more than 60 countries as a researcher, visiting professor, or keynote speaker. He has served as visiting faculty at prestigious institutions such as Delaware State University (USA), Spelman College (USA), Sheffield Hallam University (UK), University of Cartagena (Spain), and Ege University (Turkey).
With more than 20 authored books and hundreds of published scientific papers in high-impact journals indexed by Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed, he continues to be an influential figure in global science. He is an editorial board member for several leading peer-reviewed journals and has received over 1,000 international awards, grants, and honors for his academic contributions.
Currently, Prof. Heidari serves as:
- President, American International Standards Institute (AISI)
- Director, BioSpectroscopy Core Research Laboratory (BCRL), CSU
- Head, Cancer Research Institute (CRI), CSU
- Board Member, World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC)
- Member, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB)
He is also a recognized expert in scientific computing and a strong advocate for global collaboration in scientific research and education.
