Biography

Prof. Dr. Amr Salah Morsy is a Professor of Animal Nutrition and Dean of the Arid Lands Cultivation Research Institute (ALCRI) at the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-City), Egypt. His research focuses on sustainable ruminant production, particularly mitigating methane emissions, improving feed efficiency, and applying nanotechnology and phytogenic additives in animal nutrition.

He earned his Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, supported by a TWAS–CNPq Fellowship. His work has contributed to the development of low-emission livestock systems, alternative feed strategies, and innovative nutritional biotechnologies aligned with climate-resilient agriculture.

Dr. Morsy also serves as CEO of the Technology Innovation Commercialization Office (TICO) and Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club) and the Innovators Support Fund (ISF), promoting research translation, innovation, and young researcher development. He has represented Egypt in FAO–CIHEAM scientific networks and participated in high-level global science dialogues, including COP28.

His research has been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and has earned several recognitions, including the State Encouragement Award (2019) for contributions to agricultural science.
