Biography

Dr. Julian Ungar-Sargon is a distinguished neurologist and military medical officer with an extensive background in clinical, academic, and military service. He currently holds leadership roles at Merrillville Plaza Surgical Center, Broadwest Surgical Center, and NW Regional Surgery Center in Merrillville, IN. His decades-long career in neurology and interventional pain management spans several hospitals and clinics across the U.S. and the UK.

In the military domain, Dr. Julian Ungar-Sargon serves as a Colonel in the U.S. Veterans Reserve Corps (US VRC) and has held multiple command and advisory positions in the Indiana Guard Reserve (INGR). He has also supported critical missions during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in delivering PPE across Indiana. His qualifications include advanced military emergency response and leadership training, as well as service on medical training and advisory boards.

Academically, Dr. Julian Ungar-Sargon has taught at prestigious institutions including Harvard Medical School, Temple University, Medical College of Pennsylvania, and currently serves at Dominican University’s Borra College of Health Sciences. He holds multiple degrees across medicine, theology, literature, and ethics from institutions such as London University, Harvard, and Brandeis University.
