Biography

 

Dr. Rasha Salah Mohamed Ali is an Associate Professor of Nutritional Biochemistry at the National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. She holds a Master’s degree in Food Science (Food Microbiology specialization) and a PhD in Biochemistry. Her research focuses on the role of functional foods and bioactive compounds in improving human health and reducing disease risk.

Dr. Ali has published over 40 research papers in high-impact journals covering functional foods, nutraceuticals, and the biochemical mechanisms through which food-derived compounds influence metabolic and chronic health disorders. She has also served as a peer reviewer for multiple international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

She has actively contributed to national and international scientific projects related to developing functional food formulations for specific medical conditions, valorization of food processing waste into high-value bioactive compounds, and encapsulation of food-derived bioactives to enhance stability and delivery.
